A delicious chicken lollipop recipe which has Indo-Chinese flavour with a smoky twist.



15-20 chicken lollipops
1st marination
Salt to taste
½ tsp red chilli powder
2 tsps lemon juice
2nd marination
½ cup thick yogurt
2 tsps ginger-garlic paste
2 tsps red chilli paste
½ tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp Tata Sampann Garam Masala Powder
Salt to taste
2-3 tsps roasted gram flour (Bengal gram)
¼ tsp dry fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi) powder
¼ tsp chaat masala
1½ tbsps mustard oil
2 tsps lemon juice
1 tbsp butter
2 tsps oil
Chaat masala for sprinkling
Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Schezwan sauce to serve


1. Take chicken lollipops in a large bowl, add salt, red chilli powder and lemon juice and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 1 hour.
2. To make the second marination, take yogurt in another bowl, add ginger-garlic paste, red chilli paste, red chilli powder, Tata Sampann Garam Masala Powder and salt and mix well.
3. Add roasted gram flour, dry fenugreek leaves powder, chaat masala, mustard oil, and lemon juice and mix well.
4. Add the marinated chicken lollipops into it and keep it in the refrigerator to marinate for 1-2 hours more.
5. Heat butter and oil in a non-stick grill pan, place the marinated chicken lollipops on it and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side or till the chicken is cooked completely and grill marks appear on all sides.
6. Arrange the chicken lollipops in a serving bowl, sprinkle chaat masala on top and garnish with mint leaves.
7. Serve hot with schezwan sauce.
